Dining

 

The majority of Luganville's restaurants are located at the town's resorts and hotels, where meals average 2,000 vatu for a main.

 

The following restaurants welcome diners for breakfast, lunch and dinner:



On the eastern coast of Santo, there are plenty of places to stop for a drink or meal:



Other dining options in Luganville include:


  • Natangora Café, located in the centre of town, where breakfast, lunch as well as lovely cappuccinos and sweets are on offer from Monday through Saturday.
  • Clubeez Restaurant and Takeaway Bar, downstairs at the Club de Sanma, is open seven days for breakfast until late.
  • Ocean King Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner.
  • Santo Chinese Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner.

Fresh local produce is sold Monday through Sunday at the town's market, where a variety of food stalls operate nearly all day long, serving a healthy portion of rice with stew (beef, chicken or fish) for about 350 vatu per person. Meals at the food stalls include delicious fresh made juice and cut fruit.

 

There is also some Ni-Vanuatu owned restaurants and takeaways located in or around the main street where meals will cost about 500 vatu per person.

 

 

Kava

 

Kava is a traditional drink of the ni-Vanuatu. If you would like to go to a Nakamal (kava bar) ask your accommodation they will be happy to point you in the direction of the nearest one. Some kava bars sell food as well as beer and softdrink if the kava is not to your fancy.
