ELECTRICITY, TIME AND INTERNET
Electricity
220-280V, 3 pin angled plugs are required (as in Australia and New Zealand). Two pin, round plug adapters can be found at some accommodation providers but foreign compatible adaptors are readily available for purchase in Luganville.
Time
Vanuatu is one hour ahead of AST (Australian Standard Time) and 11 hours ahead of GST (Greenwich Standard Time or UT). There is no daylight saving in summer.
Internet
In general, accommodations in and around Luganville do provide Internet services for their guests. In Luganville, visitors may go to the Internet Cafe, located on the main street close to ANZ Bank. They have several workstations as well as a service technician. Also on the main street is CNS, located in the same shopping plaza as the Air Vanuatu offices. Visitors should not expect to find Internet service outside of Luganville. |
