SPLASHEXTREME

Vanuatu’s largest cattle farm is home to “Belmol Horse Paradise”, a horse trek/animal sanctuary located within the 8000 hectare beef and copra plantation situated on beautiful Espiritu Santo.

Although it is the largest island in Vanuatu’s archipelago of 83 islands, Santo is still very much in its natural state and what better way to experience the pristine beauty that abounds on this island than by horseback.  No experience is necessary as Belmol caters for all levels of riders from the absolute novice to the fully experienced.

This unique trekking experience begins with your arrival at ‘Belmol by air-conditioned 4wd, where the owner and guides will assess your riding skills and select a horse or pony appropriate to your ability.  Safety helmets and boots are fitted and a short safety briefing is given prior to departure.

Riding along the white coral beach is just the beginning! Discover the fresh and saltwater private aqua lagoons, where you can take a refreshing lagoon swim with your horse (optional).  Ride on through the coconut trees and experience the breathtaking vistas of banyan trees, green valleys and tropical rainforest.  Get close up and personal with our famous Santo cattle, and finish with a cold coconut drink at the Belmol Homestead.

Treks can range from 2 - 3 hours to full day treks (come and muster cattle with our stockmen!!) depending upon requirements.  Cold water is supplied on the trek and toilet facilities are available before and after the treks.

Bookings are necessary and can be made by contacting Megan Lockyer via the details bellow.
